BA Criminological Studies Student, Marie Rodger, has raised over £4000 for St Andrew’s Hospice by having her long hair shaved off, which she has also donated to children suffering from hair loss due to illness.

Kind-hearted Marie explained why she chose to cut off her impressive locks: “I’ve wanted to shave my hair for some time, not only to raise money but to donate it to a child suffering with hair loss due to illness.

“After growing it down to my waist I thought it was the best time to do it. I didn’t thing at all that I would raise that much, my target was £3000 so to go above that is just incredible.”
