Results day is a nervous time for many different reasons. Some people get the grades they expect, others do better and others are disappointed. So, what do you do next? Panic! Of course, this is a natural reaction, but if you do go through clearing then there are plenty of opportunities.
What is the Clearing Process?
Generally it is reserved for when a student doesn’t get into their first or second choice university. However, this can also work for students who didn’t decide whether to go on to higher education. At University Centre Grimsby, it’s not too late to enrol on our Degree or Foundation Degree courses. Find out about them on http://ucgcourses.grimsby.ac.uk.
What do I do next?
This will all happen on Thursday 17th August. If you are officially released into clearing then you can head to the Ucas website to discover opportunities but we are holding a clearing event (9am-5pm), where you can come and enrol if you didn’t receive the grades you hoped for and aren’t sure on what your next steps are. You can find us at: Nuns Corner, Laceby Rd, Grimsby, DN34 5BQ.
We also have a dedicated clearing mobile number to call – 07552 457557.
Why choose the University Centre Grimsby?
At UCG we have a strong focus on learning, commitment to achievement and an engaged, practical, education for all students. The University offers a high level of career guidance, and prides itself on actively seeking out roles and vacancies with a range of local and national organisations.
What to bring with you
You will need to bring your A-Level results along with you as well as a list of course subjects that you are interested in. Once you arrive, just follow the signs and there will be a member of staff to greet you and direct you to the right area.
