On 3rd June the talented degree level students at the Scarborough School of Art got the chance to showcase their amazing work in the form of the Costume Show at Scarborough Spa. The event was a huge success and full of guests wanting to support the students. The show was held for the BA Historical and Performance Costume for Stage and Screen students, and showed work from years 1- 3, with the main focus being on the third year students. The students worked hard all year to raise money to fund their creations, and it certainly paid off as the event was packed with visitors.
The costumes were modelled by students themselves and their willing volunteers – who would have had to have been committed as fittings happened all year in order for the costumes to be perfect for the wearer by the evening of the event.
The show was opened by the Scarborough Town Crier, as some of the students had created his uniform this year.
