ScarBoccia joint winners of the Inclusive Sport Award

Scarborough’s Boccia club, who practice and train on an evening at Yorkshire Coast College, were awarded joint first winners of the Inclusive Sport Awards last month at the Scarborough & District Sport Awards.

Boccia is a form of indoor bowls using soft leather balls played on a marked out sports hall floor.  Although mainly played by disabled people with various impairments, they also have number of non-disabled players who are able to join in, making it an inclusive sport for everyone.
