Safeguarding at the Grimsby Institute

Over the last few days a range of statements have been posted on social media regarding how the Institute tackles incidents of alleged bullying.

Whilst it is not appropriate for us to comment on any particular case or learners, the Institute would like to reassure current and potential learners, their families and friends that all allegations of incidents or learners’ safety are dealt with following a clear policy and process.

We strive to ensure that all complaints and concerns are dealt with quickly, fairly and effectively. We have a team of specialist staff who deal with any issues regarding the safety and wellbeing of our learners.

Learners, parents and carers can be assured that all disclosures and/or reports of concerns or suspicions will be taken seriously and dealt with sensitively and respectfully in accordance with the relevant guidelines.

If you have any questions, queries or concerns about yourself or another learner please contact our Safeguarding Officer on (01472) 311222.
