This year Motor Vehicle Apprentice, Matt Stagg, cemented Yorkshire Coast College’s success further by winning the prestigious Year 4, Northern Apprentice of the Year Award. This IMI Award is not only Matt’s first success at the IMI Regional Awards but his forth, having won the award every single year of his Apprenticeship.
Yorkshire Coast College has a long history of creating some of the very best Motor Vehicle Apprentices in the region. This fact has been recognised no more so than at the Institute of Motor Industry (IMI) Awards. Apprentices are nominated by their colleges for the IMI Awards where they then go forward into a stringent selection process, which includes an array of challenging knowledge and skills tests, all carried out in-front of a panel of Motor Industry experts.
Matt Stagg who works at Autodiesel Ltd in Scarborough follows in the footsteps of previous Yorkshire Coast College Motor Vehicle IMI Apprentice of the year Dan Noon of Court Yard Cars Scarborough who also won the award four years running. The Apprenticeship team at Yorkshire Coast College said “The result is quite an achievement not only for Matt but also the Motor Vehicle team as a whole. We look forward to many more of our apprentices celebrating similar success and following in the footsteps of Matt and Dan.”
