Learners, staff and members of the local community came together to enjoy the annual Diwali celebrations at the Grimsby Institute.
Diwali, the festival of light, is one of the most important religious events of the year for Hindus, Sikhs and Jains.
Guests enjoyed Indian dancing and song from Grimsby Institute Performance learners and Caistor Grammar School pupil, Rithik Gaikwad, also performed a traditional Indian dance, which was choreographed by his father.
Traditional Asian food was prepared and cooked by Grimsby Institute Hospitality learners and staff.
Rithik said: “ I’m really looking forward to this evening, I perform a lot and my dad has choreographed my dancing for tonight. I’m a bit nervous but I really enjoy performing.”
