A vibrant new mural has been unveiled at the Grimsby Institute’s Nunsthorpe Campus’ Main Hall, inspired by the natural world, after staff and learners worked together on the colourful design

The project was initially started by Jo Raven, a former Learner Mentor who now works as part of the Grimsby Institute’s Counselling team. Jo explained how the mural came about:

“The Associate Principal for Commercial Enterprise, Lee Lister, wanted to brighten the hall up because the learners use it as a common room. My daughter Bethan is a Foundation Art learner at the Institute and we worked on the design together and she helped me to start it before my job role changed.”

Alice Caines, another member of the Learner Mentor team, continued the work with Beth and a group of learners from different Animal Care & Horticulture courses; Katrina Coates, Jason Ladley, Beth MacCallum and Bonny Prendergast.
