Horticulture bring summer to Nuns Corner campus

Grimsby Institute’s Horticulture learners have been busy brightening up the Nuns Corner campus by introducing over 30 different varieties of Heather to the planters around the campus.

The tireless team, led by Timothy Hooper, Programme Leader for Horticulture, planted in excess of over 650 plants in the existing raised beds. Timothy said:

“We have planted spring and autumn flower specimens to provide year round interest for our staff and learners. Once these begin to mature we will fill the beds with all year round foliage and floral colour.  We are also going to be planting in the other raised beds and installation of specimen trees.”
