Just ask 17 year old Thomas Jaehrig, an Apprentice currently training on an ECITB programme at the Centre for the Assessment of Technical Competence Humber (CATCH) facility in Stallingborough, through his employer Cofely Fabricom GDF Suez, was recently awarded as the Institute’s ECITB Apprentice of the Year 2015 at the HCF CATCH Annual Dinner.
Thomas was awarded with his certificate and award by Grimsby Institute’s Principal & Chief Executive, Sue Middlehurst, and Director of Industrial Programmes, James Danby. Thomas said: “It was a big surprise and a great honour to win the award. The tutors really know what they’re talking about, about the industry and the real world of work. CATCH is brilliant it’s a great facility to train in and I’m hoping to go on to study for a HNC next year.”
