Grimsby Institute celebrates faith in our community

Grimsby Institute has been celebrating the different faiths that make up our community as we welcomed members of the community to talk to learners about their religions.

Chloe Hallam, Learner Mentor, said: “We have been raising awareness around different religions and faiths. We’ve had the Chaplain, Chris Davies, in to talk about Christianity, we’ve had some Jehovah’s Witnesses in to talk about their faith and we’ve also had Kevin Barker-Hughes raising awareness around Islam.

“I think it’s extremely important that we celebrate diversity and acceptance and that’s why I wanted to organise today; to give learners more knowledge around different faiths and to tell them there is no right or wrong but we have to accept other people’s opinions.”
