Dianne gets new wheels thanks to salary sacrifice scheme

Staff at the Grimsby Institute are taking advantage of a new car scheme that means staff can get a brand new car in return for a small salary sacrifice.

Dianne Gregory, Learning Practitioner for Hospitality, is the first member of staff to receive a new car, a bright blue Nissan Note, and is delighted that the scheme has been introduced.

Dianne said: “This came at the perfect time for me because we were saving up for a deposit on a car. To be able to get anew car with no deposit is brilliant as far as I’m concerned.   I wanted a small car, that was economical, and when I went along to the Staff Benefits day in July they had the cars there and I thought it was a really good deal.

“The scheme is really easy to sign up to and TCH Salsa are really good. All you have to do is put petrol or diesel in; you don’t even have to worry about insurance or tax.”

Rowena Howard, Payroll & Benefits Manager, added: “We’ve had a lot of interest in the scheme already and when people’s current car contracts come up for renewal in the next year I think we will see a lot more staff signing up for it. If anyone is interested they should log on to the website and take a look and see if it is right for them.

“We’re really pleased to be getting so much good feedback about the scheme. We also have other schemes available for items such as cycles, iPhones, IT equipment and even large screen TVs, childcare and medical schemes and more information is available on all of these on the staff intranet. We also have lots of other benefits that we’ll be announcing soon including staff discounts at local retailers and a Christmas club.”
