Grimsby Institute’s Refrigeration Department recently received a new piece of engineering equipment, a VRV Energy Management & Control System, which was kindly donated by Daikin UK.

Quentin Onyango, Senior Training Consultant for the Grimsby Institute’s Department of Refrigeration, said: “We have been given an intelligent manager controller used for air conditioning equipment. The unit combines the whole set up of air conditioning controls into one unit. This means an end user or maintenance operative can basically log into the system and interrogate all of the units at once.

“These are generally used in commercial buildings or hotel facilities; buildings with multiple air conditioning controls. All of the units within the building can be accessed from this one panel.

“Our learners will learn how to program and interrogate the systems and control them from the one panel. We would like to extend our appreciation to Daikin and thank them for helping us in the training of our future Engineers.”
