Bright young people aged 14-16 years from across North East Lincolnshire are invited to apply for The Academy Grimsby before the closing date of May 31st 2014.
The Grimsby Institute Group recently launched the brand new school and route to employment for bright young people aged 14-16 years in Grimsby, with only 40 places available for Engineering & Health Studies in the first year.
This exciting new venture invites young people interested in gaining skills and qualifications in the Engineering & Care sectors to receive specialised training alongside traditional GCSE qualifications.
With support from Blackrow Engineering and the Care Plus Group, The Academy Grimsby will offer a focused training pathway that will greatly enhance young people’s career prospects.
The Academy Grimsby will see learners work with specialist teachers on gaining Level 2 qualifications in Care or Engineering alongside National Curriculum GCSE qualifications including Maths, English, Science and Citizenship. Students can add additional GCSE subjects that could include; History, Geography and Design Technology.
The first cohort of learners who successfully join The Academy Grimsby will commence their full-time education from Key Stage 4 at the new facilities in September 2014.
Any parent interested in applying on behalf of their child can visit www.academy.grimsby.ac.uk or call 01472 311219 for more information.
