Boys Academy show off their football talents on nationwide platform

The Grimsby Institute’s Boy’s Football Academy Team have been showing off their skiils during recent fixtures and have even impressed other players and coaches during recent trials for England Colleges Football Association (ECFA).

Boys from the Academy took part in the Regional Trials for the Under 18’s ECFA squad in Barnsley which could now see them through to next round. John McDermott, Coach for the Grimsby Institute’s Boys Academy, said:

“The boys all did very well and are now waiting to see if the have progressed through to the next stages which are the northern section. I’m really proud of our boys and the things they have been achieving lately and this is a fantastic opportunity for them to showcase their talents on a nationwide platform.”

The Boys’ Academy have also been performing well in their fixtures, which has so far seen them unbeaten this season with recent wins including 7-0 against Bradford College and 11-1 against Hull College, both teams currently performing at the top of their respective leagues.
